Papertrey Peeps Challenge #5

Wow! When I checked the dates, I realized I've really been missing for awhile. My apologies to my fellow Peeps. I promise to get back on schedule. We had our family here over the Easter break. What a joy to spend five days with our dear granddaughters. But it reminds me why God gives children to the young. They wore me out! Since then it's been a string of doctor appointments and trips to physical therapy for my mother. Somewhere in between I managed to take up the challenge of making a project with a template.

I had downloaded this template so graciously offered by Nichole Heady of PTI. See her project here. Here's my interpretation.

I printed the template on kraft type cardstock. (Not PTI and lighter in weight) I had fun stamping with images and sentiments from seven different PTI sets. I love how they mix and match!! Add a button for the perch and a roof of red scrap. As I said this was fun and I wish I had time to use more templates. Thanks for the challenge Terri! Hope you like it.

Supplies
Template: Bird box by Nichole Heady
Paper: Sequoia Collection by ANW/Crestwood, Inc. (100% Recycled), unknown red scrap
Stamps: Homemade, Boards & Beams, Faux Ribbon, My Punny Valentine, Around & About Sentiments, Holiday Treats, Mixed Messages
Ink: PTI Terracotta Tile, Dark Chocolate, New Leaf, Fresh Snow, Tea Dye Duo
Other: PTI Rustic Cream Button Twine, Santa's Workshop Ribbon (Joann's), Martha Stewart tag punch, button from stash, basket filler shredded paper, speckled jelly beans left over from Easter - waste not, . . .

Thanks for dropping by.

Linda, I am so glad you had some lovely time with your family.
Your bird house is wonderful. It is just the perfect little decoration for spring. And you definitely win a prize for the number of stamp sets used!

Oh I really like the birdhouse on the kraft cardstock, I had it cut out in that and then switched to the white, so see? We all did something different. Funny how that older template has such great appeal. You made a beauty, like that ribbon on top!

Linda, welcome back. So glad you enjoyed your family's visit. And don't worry about posting all the time. I'm sure we all will have stretches where we will be 'MIA'. Your birdhouse is so cute! I love how you have added the flowers at the base and the ribbon on top.

Linda - how wonderful to hear that you have been busy with GOOD and blessed things! Your birdhouse is utterly adorable - from the crinkled paper and little blue egg inside, to the button perch and floral border on the outside! It's absolutely sweet!
